Why a telecom operator built its own phone software.

Mixvoip started in 2008 in Luxembourg and built its own telecom network: the numbers, the carrier connections, and the regulatory approvals to run voice for businesses across Luxembourg, Belgium, France, and Germany, with number coverage in more than 20 countries. It earned the trust of 30% of Luxembourg's municipalities and 45% of its care homes, the kind of customers who cannot afford a phone system that fails.

The software available to run on top of that network had not kept up. Business phone systems were clunky, slow to change, and locked in the hands of installers. So Mixvoip built its own: a cloud phone system any team can run from a browser tab, with call routing, apps, analytics, and AI in one place, connected to the tools businesses already use, like Microsoft Teams and Odoo. That software is Voxbi.
